Surveys Coming Soon / Accepting Pre-Orders on Backerkit
about 6 years ago – Wed, Feb 28, 2018 at 10:29:43 AM

Within the next week, you’ll receive an email from us with a special link to your BackerKit survey. It’s important to respond to your survey so we have the information to fulfill your rewards.

You don’t need to create a BackerKit account to fill out your survey. When you receive the email with the survey, click the survey link to respond. Answer the questions about your reward preferences, provide shipping information, and purchase add-on items if you like. You don’t have access to this survey link yet, but it will be available soon via email.

After you respond to your survey, you can go back later and change your responses at any time before we close the surveys prior to shipping. (We'll send a reminder before that happens.)

If you need to review your information or pledge status, you can return to your survey by clicking the link in your survey email or requesting your survey link under "Lost your survey?" on our BackerKit project page at https://diamondsong-escape.backerkit.com. BackerKit will send the survey either to your Kickstarter email or to your Facebook email, if you log in with Facebook. If you have another email address that you prefer to use, please send us a Kickstarter message or email [email protected].

We are also accepting additional pre-orders through BackerKit. Please share the pre-order link with anyone you think would enjoy Diamondsong. Here is the pre-order page link: https://diamondsong-escape.backerkit.com/hosted_preorders

What I've been up to.
about 6 years ago – Mon, Feb 26, 2018 at 12:21:42 AM

Hi, everyone! There is a lot going on and I haven't checked in for a bit.

First, I did it. I left my job, just this month. I've heard every reaction from beaming pride and confidence to sneering disdain for my foolish choice, but it is what it is now. At this point I'm going to give this everything I can - and time will tell. Either way, I so appreciate all of your support. I am stepping on that pedal, wherever this road leads!

I had a great time at Great Lakes Comic Con this weekend meeting new people and seeing familiar faces again. Thanks for stopping by if you were there.

I've also been working on our first anthology: As Told by Things, a collection of short stories and flash fiction told from the point of view of inanimate objects. We are going to launch a Kickstarter in the next few days to pay for the cover, editing, and author royalties, as well as to hopefully generate more exposure for the project. It's a super fun collection, and I will post the link when it's online.

As for Diamondsong, I've been working it every moment I can - I've been cutting no corners on making sure I'm completely happy with it. I'm working on a first round of developmental changes now and I really like how the story is filling in. I'm also working on cover art with a Michigan artist and on a fantasy map with a Finnish artist. More on all of that later, but right now I'm experimenting with a more contemporary cover design and seeing if I can still make that read fantasy. Anyway, this is all happening and as soon as I have a better sense of the release date, I'll let you know.

Lastly, I recommend you check out this anthology by the Mad Scientist Journal team, which ends shortly (so don't wait). I was impressed with (and enjoyed) their last collection and expect only better from this one. Talk to you soon! - E

Happy February! Thanks again to each one of you! ♥

These funds will get us moving along with the cover, map, and editing - and that's a huge help. I hope you'll love the story, and I'll keep you posted on its progress. In the meantime, please do follow along on my social media sites, all linked at edebell.com

Let me know anytime if you have any questions - E.
